offer a number of useful and specialty items featuring unique images as
a major fundraising effort for MANY VOICES' nonprofit organization. As
you probably know, MANY VOICES has helped people recovering from
childhood abuse, trauma, dissociation, and PTSD since 1989. Your
purchases will help us continue serving all those who need MV, far into
the future.
We want to be clear with you how our Cafe Press Store works.
On MV's fundraising pages, items are completely or partially donated, so
all revenues from those sales go directly to Many Voices. That's how our
Paypal donation buttons work, too, minus a small Paypal handling
charge.
Our Cafe Press Store works differently. Here, we are selling
products like t-shirts, coffee mugs, posters, etc. These items are NOT "free."
Cafe Press puts our images on the product you buy and sends it
to you. MV pays Cafe Press for the products and their image-rendering
and customer-interaction service. We mark up the prices on the items to sell to you. The difference
between our cost and the sales price is what we receive as
"fundraising." For example, if MV buys a basic t-shirt from Cafe Press
for $15, puts MV's unique image on it, we will sell it for $20. You will
pay $20 to Cafe Press, but MV will receive $5 from the sale of that shirt—not $20.
Our artist—friends have given MV the copyright for all the images we
offer on this site. All markup revenues from the sale of these items go
directly to MANY VOICES 501(c)(3), EIN 20-8945881. The funds are used to
support our mission to people recovering from trauma.
