Mamma Gun sager: Ta en PAUS

'Mamma Gun' is short for 'Mamma Gun säger: Ta en PAUS' which was the name of a temporary Swedish design café in Tokyo 2005. The name is Swedish and translates as 'Mother Gun says: Take a break' Gun Larsson used to run a small café outside Helsingborg in the south of Sweden where the regulars included celebrities such as members of ABBA. For Swedish Style in Tokyo 2005 she dusted of her old secret recipes and together with her son compiled a classic Swedish cafe menu. The delicacies included pastries, sandwiches, sweets and was served together with drinks and cocktails. The Swedish ambience at the café was enhanced by interior installations by design unit Next Century Modern. The Swedish girls Emma & Malena hand knitted limited edition Mamma Gun-caps accompanied by a fine selection of Swedish music videos. There was also screenings of the Swedish DVD-magazine UZI’s first issue, entitled Tokyo Brainstorm, along with various events such as “The Son of a Gun Birthday Party”. Here you will find products inspired by that event. Visit www.mammagun.com for more information.
