The debut album of a mellow West Coast sax player accompanied by some of Northern California's best. Features Lukas Hein (sax), Shao Way Wu (bass), Dave Wilson (guitar) and Tommy Fitzmaurice (drums).
This recording was made in February of 2007. The musicians all gathered one Sunday in a local restaurant, set up a single mic in the middle of the room and pretty much played straight through the tunes as if it was a live performance. What the recording lacks, therefore, in polish, is hopefully made up for in authenticity. The goal behind this music is simply to create and share beauty. There is no pretension of intellectual or technical virtuosity. Should any of the sounds on this disc be sweet enough to attract and uplift the hearts of its hearers, its purpose will be fulfilled.
