32nd MP Company Merchandise

The 64th Troop Command headquarters is located in Madison, Wisconsin. It acts as a command and control headquarters and is assigned approximately 40 personnel. It is one of four major commands in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.

The 32nd Military Police Company is a subordinate command of the 64th Troop Command. It is located in Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is authorized 176 personnel. Its mission is to provide military police combat support to an assigned area of operations.

Members of the 32nd MP Company are part of the changing face of an American military that relies more heavily on the Army and Naval reserves and National Guard. About one quarter of the 9800 Wisconsin National Guard soldiers have been called to active duty so far.

The 32nd MP Company is a cross section of Wisconsin. Soldiers range in age from 18 to 58. Forty eight are female, including three sets of sisters.

On Active Duty in Iraq, the members of the 32nd MP Company are part of the 519th MP Battalion. In Iraq, they guard supply routes and enemy prisoners, a job the company performed during the Gulf War.

As military police, unit members are trained to use a combination of six different weapons depending on their position in the company: M16 rifle, 9mm pistol, MK19 automatic grenade launcher, M203 grenade or smoke launcher, shotgun and an automatic machine gun.
