The images featured in this LairShop are mostly digital art pieces, along with an original photograph or two. We are especially proud of our current Official LairLogo: a small, round ornament made of Sculpey polymer clay, decorated in the style of Neolithic European ceramic art (c. 6000 B.C.E.-c. 2500 B.C.E.); then slapped on a scanner and endowed with a striking background courtesy of Photoshop! The Lair's title and url are also featured. Another image, 'Cosmic Web' began with a simple photograph of a crystal candy dish, likewise scanned and enhanced via Photoshop with the green-webbed background. The silhouetted sunset photo was taken on a ranch near Granger, WY in 1988, and later scanned and enhanced with the Lair's slogan, "Together Across the World!" What would we do without Photoshop, LairCronies?
The Clan Ocean Project: So, how's that "Drill, baby, drill" thing workin' for ya? Okay, enough sarcasm out of us. However, even with the hideous, broken BP well in the Gulf of Mexico capped and "killed" after five months of spewing oil into the ocean, the marine ecosystem will be struggling with the aftereffects for years, even decades to come. The Clan Ocean Project is our partial response to this ecological crisis: partial proceeds of each purchase will benefit the Gulf Restoration Network! So come and show solidarity with the Gulf and its creatures in their time of most desperate need...
Hey, where's the "Barefoot Bandit" Stuff?! Well, folks, time and sensational journalism do march on after a while; and we decided to insert some new stuff into our Miscellanea Digitalis SubLair (see below). But never fear nor fret! We haven't just discontinued our "Barefoot Bandit North American Tour 2010" products! Heck, no--in fact, we're in the process of setting them up in their own special shop, Barefoot Bandit North American Tour '10! All the prettiest Colton merch items are right there, waiting to be inserted into the appropriate Subsections! However, our Barefoot Bandit bumperstickers, postcards and other paper items are still in their original location, The Lair of Cards.
What Would Hitch Do/Say/Write? Well, we've been missing the late Christopher Hitchens so much, we recently came up with a new design or two in tribute to The Hitch! The new Hitch merch will be situated where the "Barefoot Bandit" stuff used to be, down in the Miscellanea Digitalis SubLair; please bear with us as we spend a bit of time and energy designing the new products and placing them in the appropriate Miscellaneous sections...
