How Long Have We Done This?
The idea of a tailgating Krewe started back in 1999, when a few of us moved back into town and began tailgating together. Over the years our group has steadily grown, and recently has joined forces with another group of LSU tailgating friends. 2005 marked the adoption of the Krewe’d Awakening name, when our tailgating groups united as one.

Why The Name?
Because we wake up too early to start our tailgating day. We are usually set-up and going full force by dawn’s early light.

Where Can You Find Us?
We tailgate in the field adjacent to Touchdown Village (the RV lot). This field is located in the corners of Nicholson Extension, Nicholson Dr., and Burbank Dr., almost directly across from Walk-On’s. We are located under a group of oak trees near the southern-most footbridge to the RV lots. With our numerous flagpoles, flags, and an inflatable Mike the Tiger, we are easy to spot.

Who’s Invited?
Everyone is invited to attend our parties. We openly invite all who pass by to join us for a good time. That means even your mother-in-law can come party with us. Also, if you’re an out-of-towner from the opposing school, we’d love for you to stop by for a visit. We’ve even been known to greet you with your team’s fight song throughout the day.
