Synopsis

Father Donald D. Fraser, K.C.H.S., is Pastor of Our Lady of the Lake Church in McCall, Idaho. He is also Area Councillor of Idaho and Montana. From February 2005 until June 2005, he was on sabbatical in the Holy Land. He lived at the Latin Patriarchate Seminary in Beit Jala, which is near Bethlehem in the Occupied Territories. Father Fraser sent a weekly reflection to his parishioners via his parish web page [www.ourladyofthelakeidaho.org]. "Behind the Wall" is a reference to the Wall of Separation that has been built between Israel and the Occupied Territories of Gaza and the West Bank. The photograph of the Wall was taken by Father Fraser which shows the unfinished gate to the entrance to the city of Beit Jala and therefore to Bethlehem. The gate is now in place. Father returned to the Holy Land in the fall of 2005.
