Show Your Support for KnowItNow24x7, Ohio's 24x7 Virtual Reference Service! KnowItNow24x7 was the first 24-hour, 7-days-a-week virtual reference service in the world. Thanks to an LSTA grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded by the State Library of Ohio, KnowItNow24x7 went statewide in 2004. Ohioans have asked well over 400,000 questions using the service since that time. KnowItNow is administered through Cleveland Public Library, and trained staff from over fifty libraries across the state staff the service during regular hours. After-hours service is provided by librarians working out of their homes with support from the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System (NEO-RLS). Access to KnowItNow for all Ohio residents is freely available through Ohio public libraries' web sites or through the KnowItNow web site (click on the logo above to connect).
