JL Werner is a lifelong horse lover and talented artist/writer with an offbeat sense of humor. Her work has appeared in publications from local newsletters to national magazines and her Mac & Jill comic strip is a regular monthly feature in Equestrian Network Magazine (check it out at www.equestmagazine.com). Ms. Werner's humorous essays have been featured in publications such as Vaulting World and Hunter & Sport Horse. A top horse show competitor, she's garnered local, state and regional championships in both hunters and equitation. Currently, she's compiling her decades of show ring experience into an insightful and amusing look at competing titled Stupid Fuzzy Boots.
