Here's the story: It all began somewhere around 1913, two sides and two colors, represented by two oxes that rally in a colorful and vivid dispute to see who wins in ingenuity and creativity regarding their costumes and follies. The reason for the challenge is based on age-old religious beliefs and promises for grace.
One ox is the Caprichoso represented by a red heart and the other is the Garantido with its blue star. Their colors are never confused and both teams rally without picking on each other! A real demonstration of fair play, pure joy and creativity! The place gets jammed packed with tourists from all over who have never seen anything like it! It's also the only place in the world where you can find a Coke in a blue can (!) so that members of the Garantido team are not left out! ;-)
Other unusual festivities will be posted here eventually, so watch this space!
The second line of products offers actual street art made with colored sawdust by the local Christian community in celebration of Corpus Christi in our small hometown in 2006. Here you have a choice of tile boxes and framed tiles. All of them make for fine, themed gifts to collect!
