Synopsis:
Each month when I sit down to write my next Policy Issues article for American Agent & Broker magazine, my goal is simple: convey useful information with an attitude. Many call that attitude humor or wit or entertaining. Works for me! My preferred term however, is fun, as in my web site InsuranceIsFun.com. Fun meaning that after passing thirty years in the business, I still look forward to the challenges, people and daily opportunities afforded by this great industry. Hence, the title of this tome, drawn from my personally all-time favorite article (and also many of yours, since it is the most requested and reprinted of them all). Each article contained herein is specifically chosen from over 120 possibilities. To render this collection even more unique, and wishing to take advantage of this book format (which need not be as restricted by available spacing and layout as a good magazine must be) each was then re-edited from the original first draft. Thus some will read much as originally published in the magazine, while others have significant additions in content. Yes Virginia, There is Insurance. Its powerful, profitable, enabling. And yes, on most days and in most ways, its still fun. We hope you read, enjoy and agree. Onward!
