Immigration - Instant Karma

The America's were originally inhabited by people who lived here for many thousands of years, having (theoretically) migrated across the Bering Straight roughly 12,000 years earlier, establishing their own civilizations and cultures along the way as they moved down through Alaska, Canada, North America, and Central & South America. Then around 500 years ago the Europeans arrived here, took over their land, and engaged in a campaign of genocide that Hitler himself found inspirational. And now, ironically, the genetic descendents of those who originally occupied this land want to come back to live here and we have the nerve to call them "Illegal". So the bigger question is, who does this land belong to? The people who live on it now or the one's who had it stolen from them? Should we forget America's shameful legacy or take steps to make amends? Perhaps the flow of immigrants to this land, "legal" or otherwise, should be viewed, not as an invasion, but as an act of karmic balancing.
