A Nation Is Defined By The Heart Of It's People, Not By It's Borders. Arial Sharon is making the bold move of giving up the Gaza strip and handing it over to the Palestinians as the first step towards their eventual statehood. If successful, this would result in the removal of a major cause of tension in the Middle East and hopefully help bring about a lot more stability in the region. But there's also a lot of resistence from Jewish ultranationalists who feel that the land was promised to them by God and are willing to fight to preserve it regardless of how many more people die in the struggle.
I believe that Israel is not defined by borders but by the heart of the Jewish people, and if giving up a little patch of land brings peace then wouldn't God prefer that over the constant killing that's been taking place in his name?
