"Pinoy Ako" used to be a simple statement, meaning "I am Filipino."

However, last year, it became so popular when it swarmed the lyrics of top Filipino songs of 2005. First is Bamboo's Noypi from its debut album, Take Me Down. And second, which almost became the new national anthem of the Philippines, is the Pinoy Ako of the Orange and Lemons. This also the theme song of the first season of much-raved-and-critiqued Pinoy Big Brother.
Now, although a cliche, say this sentence and wear this on your shirt with pride.
