The Hubbard Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, founded in 2007.

The vision of David Hubbard MD for the Hubbard Foundation is to investigate the neurophysiological foundations of consciousness and meditation and their influence on brain functioning, health and peace. The Hubbard Foundation uses fMRI to conduct this important research. fMRI stands for Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and uses MRI technology to measure the changes in blood flow to brain areas associated with specific brain functions.

Dr. Hubbard's vision took a new direction in 2009 when his son Devin was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The Hubbard Foundation and the Hubbard family are dedicated to the search for earlier and more sensitive ways to diagnose neurodegenerative disorders, like Chronic Cerebral Spinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI), and to track these horrible illnesses so that treatments can be tried long before the onset of inflammatory lesions.

While at this point we don't know if there will be any synergy with our focus on meditation and consciousness, we can't help but believe that at least part of the healing of MS and other neurological diseases involves diet and life-style change such as are found in meditation, Ayur-Vedic and oriental medicine.

The Hubbard Foundation is IRB approved to test and treat CCSVI in MS patients in San Diego, CA. Data is collected as part of this study for publication.
