Holtville/Slapout Fire & Rescue

Holtville, locally and fondly known as 'Slapout,' is a rural community located on Lake Jordan in Northwest Elmore County, AL. The Holtville/Slapout Fire and Rescue unit serves roughly 6000 people living in a 25 square mile area. This area includes approx. 22 miles of river and two main bodies of water. We also have 3 schools in our district. The Holtville High School, Holtville Middle School and Holtville Elementary Schools of the Elmore County School system are the only schools not covered by a municipal fire department. Our department is a public department whose 30 members are 100% volunteer.
