This image captures themes from a panel of young Africans specializing in technology and social progess for the continent. Participants were from Ethiopia, Uganda, Senegal, Nigeria, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, and New York.
PopTech partnered with Sun Microsystems and the United Nations to create the Sun Participation Fellows Program. They selected 10 next-generation thought leaders in social activism and technology from across Africa and financially supported their presence and participation at the conference. Whether working on initiatives in healthcare, telecommunications, or education, each Fellow represents a world-changing spirit of leadership, innovation and social engagement.
