The world as we know it has ended. Society has collapsed. You have survived, along with the rats and the pigeons, and eight of your closest friends. This is because you are a superhero. Or else you’re just crazy. This is the story of Hand of God and his stalwart band of fellow superheroes, who have survived the apocalypse and must now make their way in a world barren of CornNuts, without toilet paper, where playing cards are more valuable than credit cards. It is the story of what a band of superheroes must do when no one will hire them to save the world because, through no fault of their own, the world has been destroyed. From among them, one superhero is brave enough, or foolish enough, to attempt to come to terms with the events that have stranded them all without a civilization. This is Hand of God’s story, but it is also the story of all of us who have found ourselves stranded far from home, and tried to make our way back, across oceans and time and landfills, to a place where we belong.
