Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the Jewish new year. It is the first and second days of Tishrei on the Jewish calendar. To the Jewish people, Rosh Hashanah is the birthday of the world, when G-d created Man. It always begins on a Friday evening and continues through the following Sunday night.
