Gifts of Nature : Birds

I have put photos of some of our beautiful and colorful birds here in Maine on a variety of merchandise. Natures little wonders the song birds like chickadee, goldfinch, night hunter the barred owl, game birds, partridge, spruce grouse, and more.

Baby Wood Ducks These cute little baby wood ducks are just adorable! I love watching them jump and dart around after bugs in the beaver ponds her in Maine. They are one of our favorite wild birds as they eat a lot of pesky insects.
Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker The yellow-bellied sapsucker is a cute little woodpecker that likes to drill holes in trees and drink the sap. I have a nice photo of a female on various merchandise for the bird lovers.	Baby Robin American Robins are one of our most loved birds in maine. I took this photo of a young one as it perched on a limb waitng to be fed by it's parents.I put the photo on various merchandise for the bird	Yellow Warblers This beautiful male yellow warbler had just fed his little one, and stopped just long enough for me to get one photo of him. I have merchandise with the photo on it for the bird lovers.
Woodcock Family I got photos of a family of woodcock or timberdoodles as some call them, and put them on various merchandise.I love their wabbly walk, so cute.	Baby turkeys These tiny baby turkeys are so cute that I had to put them on various merchandise for the bird lover.I love being out in nature here in Maine, and seeing all the wildlife we have.	Great Blue Heron I took this beautiful photo at St. Albans Lake in Maine of a Great Blue heron walking along the causesway.
Mallards I love the mallard ducks, they are so beautiful and colorful in the sun. I took these photos of a pair in Maine and put them on various merchandise for the bird lovers.	Herring gull Seagulls are annoying at times, but they can be beautiful when seen close up.I see them way inland on the ponds in Maine while fishing.I put photos of one on merchandise for the bird lovers.	Bohemian Waxwing The Bohemian Waxwings are beautiful and colorful birds. I saw a flock recently while out for a walk in the Maine woods. I put photos of them on various merchandise.
Pileated Woodpecker The Pileated Woodpecker is Maines largest woodpecker. They sure can make the wood chips fly ! Their red head is beautiful in the sun. I took photos of a male and put them on various merchandise.	Ruby Throated Hummingbirds The Ruby Throated Hummingbird is the only one we have in Maine, but they are like flying jewels. Beautiful little birds that amuse us in the summer months with their arial stunts.	Red Poles These cute little Red Poles were at my Maine backyard birdfeeders all winter. They are so cute and come in big flocks.
Parrots Parrots are beautiful and colorful birds that are loved by many who own them as pets. I have photos of them on various merchandise for the bird lovers.	Sleeping Barred Owl I love owls,and barred owls are my favorite. This little guy was napping in my backyard recently during the day. I put photos of him on various merchandise for the bird lovers.	Masked Lovebirds Lovebirds are one of the cutest in the parrot family. I saw these little guys snuggling and made up some products with them and a cute saying that seemed to fit.
Barred Owl I love owls, so I was so happy to see a Barred Owl at my house here in Maine.. They are so cute, and beautiful as they perch in trees for hours looking for prey.	Pine Grosbeak I saw this beautiful pine grosbeak for the first time this year. I'd never seen them before, and he was at my birdfeeders in winter here in maine.	Woodpecker& Blue Jay The beautiful Blue Jay, and the woodpeckers are always bickering over food at my maine birdfeeders. Their amuzing to watch to see who will win.
Tufted Titmouse A few of these cute little tufted titmouse came by my birdfeeders in october. I had never seen one before this. They have a sweet face, and make funny calls, adorable !	Mourning Doves Mourning Doves are plentiful here in Maine, so I have plenty at my backyard feeder.They are beautiful and graceful when landing.I have photos of them on various merchandise.	Chickadee 2 The Black Capped Chickadee is Maines state bird, and is loved by all. They are so easy to tame, and will eat out of your hand .They will come to backyard feeders year round .
Blue Jays two These clever, cunning, beautiful,colorful Blue Jays will entertain bird lovers for hours with their antics as they raid backyard feeders.	Dancing Purple Finch I saw a male purple finch doing a mating dance for the first time this year, and it was so cute. I got photos and put them on various merchandise for those who have never seen it. Downy Woodpecker A sweet little downy woodpecker has been visiting my suet, and I got photos of the mother feeding it. They are just one of the birds at my maine backyard feeder.	Goldfinch Pair A beautiful pair of Goldfinch on a flowering almond branch in the spring, what a pretty sight! One of our prettiest Maine birds.	Northern Flicker The Northern Flicker is a beautiful woodpecker that loves to eat ants. It's a favorite of mine here in Maine.They are colorful and have striking markings.
Backyard Birds A variety of song birds from Maine on merchandise for the whole family. Purple Finch, Junco, Woodpecker,Fox Sparrow, Wren, Goldfinch,and White Breasted Nuthatch.	Bald Eagles The most beautiful and powerful raptor the bald eagle, is also our symbol of freedom. These photos are of imature as well as adult eagles.	Strutting Ruffed Grouse A nice photo of a Ruffed Grouse strutting on his drumming log in the spring, trying to attract a mate. maine has a good number of these game birds.
Spruce Grouse This little grouse is uniquely marked, and very colorful, they are called " fools hen" because they are quite tame.They live mostly in northern Maine and are protected from hunting.	Yellow-bellied Flycatcher The Yellow-bellied Flycatcher is a cute little bird I had never seen before I took these photos. A very small but beautiful flycatcher.	Wren I see this sweet little bird while out in the woods quite often, but it's hard to get a photo because they don't stop for long in one spot.
Great Blue Heron This huge bird is a frequent visitor to a beaver pond I like to sit at in the summer to watch for wildlife.	American Bittern This American Bitter was standing in a grassy beaver pond. With it's nose up in the air it was camouflaged very well.	Cormorant The cormorant is a large and strange looking bird that catches fish in ponds as it swims underwater. Maine has a good population of these water birds.
Belted Kingfisher Photos of a female belted kingfisher on housewares, and other keepsake gifts.	Commom Loon The common loon is a beautiful bird with their striking patterns that people love to see in maine lakes and ponds.I put photos of loons on merchandise for the bird lovers.
