I'm just a Mom, I'm not a librarian or a lobbyist. I'm here to represent 1,000's that believe this is important which is why we're looking for a legislative sponsor, a leader who will be a champion and take a stand. Can you help?

This storefront was created to raise money to send 3 Moms to their state capitol to advocate for school library funding. We like to think of it as 'Olympia or Bust.' School libraries around the country are being reduced, downsized, and bled of funding. Our own children now attend school in a district that just suffered the third cut in four years to library programs. It is a poignant thing to visit a school where the library lights are turned off, the computers sit dark and the door is closed. We believe in equal opportunity learning for all children, that all children deserve to be taught 21st century skills. It goes without saying that we believe that this is paramount for kids future college, work and life but it is also crucial for our state and local economies, our democracy and the hope that we can all be information-rich. For kids that don't have a ride to the library or a computer at home, we believe that the school and public libraries may be the great equalizer. Please help us by letting your friends, family, co-workers, and community know about these products and our cause.

Our dream is to make enough money to pay and win for our campaign here in Washington state and then give grants to other communities like Tucson and Portland and so on that are fighting to keep their school libraries staffed and open.

We'd be honored if you would like to learn more about this issue and effort by visiting fundourfuturewashington.org and maybe even join our coalition to keep abreast of news.
