Friends of Hocking Hills State Park Online Store : Park Areas
Be sure to bring a good pair of hiking boots to truly experience the natural beauty and wilderness of the Hocking Hills State Park. There are over 25 miles of hiking trails for all skill levels, through more than 10,000 acres of forests. Whether you are looking for an easy stroll around area landmarks and caves, or an all-day hike, you’ll find it here.
The park is divided into six distinct areas; Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, Conkle’s Hollow, and Rockhouse. Black hand sandstone was deposited more than 350 million years ago in this area of Ohio, and years of uplift and erosion have created the marvelous rock formations, waterfalls, and caves that visitors can enjoy today.
