FamilyFanClub had an opportunity to catch up with the 2007 Triathlon World Champion Chris "Macca" McCormack at the Ironman Viewing Party, hosted by 5430 Sports at Bicycle Village in Westminster, CO.
The event kicked off with NBC's presentation of 2007 Ironman World Championships. NBC again told a compelling story of the athletes vying for the title, headlined by Macca and Chrissie Wellington's unexpected ascent to the title, but also challenging dry eyes to remain so with tales of extraordinary and inspiring performances by ordinary people. Macca immediately followed with an inspiring account of his dreams, training, challenges and failures leading to victory in the last remaining event he set out to win as a teenager.
FamilyFanClub had the chance to meet, discuss and explain the concept of FamilyFanClub with Macca and he was very supportive. FamilyFanClub gifted Macca several shirts, so look for his kids to be wearing their support on race day!
