 Phil Hatchard grew up in Manchester and Devon and now lives in London with his girlfriend and numerous house plants. He's a secondary school maths teacher and also helped set up The Hoja Project in his friend's village in Tanzania in 2005. He also likes to dabble in a bit of the old acting lark, and is currently taking a part time course at drama school. He wore a hat with a light on it when he was 8.

Phil started the evilflea website in 2005 with his Movies They Never Made series, clumsily drawn on his computer using a crappy rollerball mouse. The important thing was the quality of the joke, not the complexity of the artwork. Eventually, he started hand-drawing his cartoons and bought himself a scanner. Now he also paints onto canvas using acrylic paints.
Here in the evilflea artshop you can buy prints, postcards and greetings cards of his artwork. 10% of all the profits he makes will go to The Hoja Project.
