The Love project!

THE BIRTH OF THE LOVE PROJECT: March 19th 2003: I was preparing to go dance all night at the Pangea Soap Factory in Boulder, CO. I was internally torn by knowing I was going to a beautiful, joyful party on the very day our country was invading Iraq. I thought of all of the hatred and fear and greed in the world, and grabbed a sharpie. I attempted to draw a peace sign on the front of an old ribbed tank top. The placement of my first thick black mark was a little too high. I stood back, looked at the shirt, and the line I had drawn looked like a capitol I. "I... Love." I thought, and the first I Love shirt was born. Since most things these days seem to have a brand, I put "B. nice" on the back collar where a brand would normally be- sort of as a goof, and sort of as a pseudonym signature. That night, and every time I have worn the shirt since, people asked where they could get one... After years of making these one at a time by hand, or in small batches, Finally lots of folks can get their hands on some "I Love." stuff...
