With the follow up to his double album Ambiguity, Weslie Ian Riggs finds himself on a mission to focus and home his style. He succeeds in capturing a sound that is in turn both alarming and comforting. His rap style shifts from hushed and subdued to full out anarchic, with more twists and turns than present on most major releases. He also has a singing style that, while not perfect or always particularly tuneful, has a firm grip on dynamics and how to employ them. The music itself is fully realized and very nearly orchestral, using modern technology to do what previous generations of musicians struggled to accomplish.
