Alfred P. Sloan was the President and CEO of General Motors. His business processes defined the American corporation in the 20th Century. He achieved fame and fortune.
Billy Durant was the founder of General Motors building it the equivalent of $8 billion before Sloan took it over. He died penniless managing a bowling alley. He is forgotten today. Durant is the patron saint of every entrepreneur.
