The
Peacock Moth
One recent afternoon, my husband brought a large moth to me at my desk.
This beautiful moth was on his last few minutes of life, and we watched
sadly as it spun around and tried to pick itself back up for one last
view of the world.
That last journey reminded me of the transition we all make in life. I
photographed it and began my design, to show that there is beauty and
wonder in all things! Notice the “peacock feathers” along side of the
moth? They came to my palette as soon as I began to see the brilliance
of those beautiful blue green “eyes” on the wing.
The peacock moth reminds us that we will always be something beautiful
to someone in our lives, and that we truly do leave behind a legacy
