Useful advice on how to clean a stall:
1. Dig the wet spots and big piles of manure first.
2. Take a pitchfork full of shavings and lightly 'fling' it, against the stall wall. The poop will separate and roll down to the bottom of the shavings, because it's heavier than shavings. It's easy to pick up only manure, saving clean shavings. Work your way around the stall flinging manure and 'banking' a stall, until you have an even shaving bank around all 4 stall walls and the center of the stall is empty of shavings. Dig deep to get all pee spots. Collect all the poop pebbles that got separated from the shavings.
3. Then spread the shavings back around the stall. You will probably find a stray manure pebble here and there while leveling the stall. Catch them. Smile, job well done, until your horse poops again. Please Note: All images have been copyrighted.
