A collection of seminal Bach pieces recorded (mostly) on the Moog Synthesizer.
These recordings were no small task! The Moog is a very versatile instrument, yet has a steep, almost insurmountable learning curve. It is a crotchety, troublesome piece of equipment, unstable tunings and all. Some tracks make use of the other instruments, and in some extreme cases, MIDI was brought into the fray. However, limitations on time with the beast of an instrument meant that we could not offer you an album of purely Moog Bach, much as we wished to. Where possible, trustworthy un-annotated scores were located, to ensure that the music is as true to the original as it can be. You may notice the structure of the suite from “Orfeo” is familiar - that’s because we feel that Carlos simply came up with the best structure, which we used.
