Synopsis:

Carol O'Leary is having an affair with Tom, a married man, to fill in the lonely hours her husband, Michael, is away. Though she loves Michael, her loneliness drives her into Tom's arms. Always wearing a wig and taking care to meet Tom at out of the way places, Carol witnesses the brutal raping of a woman in the parking lot of a bar. An RN, she wishes to stop and help the woman, but Tom urges her to leave the woman and not put their marriages in jeopardy. Feeling that someone will find her soon and get help, she leaves the woman. However, when another badly hurt victim arrives at the ER, Carol's guilt forces Carol to act. Will her action cause her to lose the only man she's ever loved?
