OUR MISSION:

Every type of military unit has a mission, and this includes the Interior Decorator Corps. We promote readiness by promoting troop morale and unit esprit. We provide decorations and centerpieces for troop gatherings and activities, ceremonies, and civil affairs.

There was a time that every Base Commander's unit beautification initiative meant "Let the rock painting begin." When the Interior Decorator Corps began imbedding its members in military components, General Patton campaigned for its abolition, until Harry Truman said to him, "Who do you think designed your uniform?"
