Born in Iceland 29/03, 1960.

Handida & myndlistaskoli Islands,
Two years in the National Art school of Iceland 1976-1978.

Course in oil painting in London, U.K. 1979.

Ecole Jacques Lecoq.
Course in mime school in Paris, 1982.

Through word of mouth and from exhibitions in Iceland, Emma sold oil paintings both private and to corporate art collectors such as banks and institutions.
Emma has also done some mural painting, commission work for art collectors and a community centre.

Emma wrote and illustrated a childrens book, “ Ruslaskrimslid” used as part of primary schools curriculum in Iceland on caring for the environment. As well she wrote a play “ Ruslaskrimslid “ whitch she took to most primary schools, throughout Iceland, and employed 5 actors and a director for the play. She got a grant from the government and many organizations for the product, the Ministry of Environment bought all the original pictures from the book, “ Ruslaskrimslid” they were hand pained with oil on to black and white, photographs.

Since settling in New Zealand Emma has been actively working on her art, and she looks to mythology and dreams as well as real life for her inspiration.
