Personalization Tips for Business Cards & Invitations
Creating business cards & invitations comes with a unique set of challenges. Here are some tips that will help you work with multiple elements and text fields to create eye-catching (and functional) business cards and invites.
Creating several text elements
To make several text fields of the same size and font, copy/paste a line of text that is already the font and size that you want. This will create a second, duplicate line that is formatted the same as the first line. In this manner, you can ensure that your text fields are formatted the same way.
When dragging elements around the designer, guidelines will pop up to show you when your elements are aligned. Please note: guidelines do not work when you are using arrow keys to nudge the elements.
Another trick is to use the shapes function to drag a shape onto the canvas - like the square - and use the edge of the shape as a guide for your text placement. Try a circle or triangle for interesting looks. Just remember to delete the shape after you've got your text where you want it.
You can select multiple elements and change them all at once: click and hold down your mouse, then make a sweeping motion vertically across all of the elements you want to group. This will connect the elements and allow you to move them or change the color or font all at once.
