When using your Flip Video camcorder, these basic safety precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury to persons.

Read and understand all instructions!

WARNING To reduce risk of fire, shock or serious injury

  • Do not expose this product to flame or very high temperatures

  • Do not immerse or expose camcorder to water or liquids

  • Do not insert foreign objects into the camcorder - this may cause damage to internal components or cause injury to you

  • Do not disassemble this unit

  • Never attempt to connect this unit to any external power source except a standard USB port or the Flip Video Quick Charger (Model AQC1W)

  • Do not attempt to charge your Flip Video camcorder if damaged, or has been immersed in liquids

Your camcorder is not a toy. To reduce risk of child injury

  • Never allow children to play with the camcorder - small parts may be a choking hazard

  • Observe caution when using camcorder strap to prevent strangulation Important Safety Instructions

Your Flip Video camcorder contains a Lithium Polymer battery cell which is not user-replaceable.

To reduce the risk of risk of injury, explosion or fire

  • Do not attempt to remove or replace the battery

  • Please contact Pure Digital Technologies for repair/replacement

  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the battery pack

  • Do not puncture or incinerate the battery

  • Do not store this unit in extreme cold or high temperature areas

  • Units subjected to extreme cold should be allowed to stabilize before attempting to charge the battery

  • Do not dispose of this unit improperly. Check with local codes for proper disposal regulations

Refer servicing to qualified service personnel or contact Customer Support under the following conditions:

  • If the camcorder or batteries get hot to the touch

  • If the camcorder breaks open accidentally

  • If liquid has been spilled into the unit

  • If the unit has been exposed to rain or water

  • If the unit does not operate normally when following the operating instructions

  • If the unit has been dropped or the casing damaged

  • If the unit exhibits a distinct change of performance

Product Care

  • Operating and storage temperatures 0�C to +45�C
  • Do not drop camcorder or subject it to excessive shock or vibration
  • Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners, as they may damage the unit or the finish of the product

Pure Digital Technologies, Inc. ("Pure Digital") warrants this product (including any accessories) against defects in material or workmanship as follows:

PARTS
Subject to the exceptions stated below, Pure Digital will supply, at no charge, new or rebuilt replacements in exchange for defective parts for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase. After the warranty period, you must pay for all replacement parts.

LABOR
Subject to the exceptions stated below, for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase, if this product is determined to be defective, Pure Digital will repair or replace the product, at its option, at no charge, or pay the labor charges to any Pure Digital authorized service facility. After the warranty period, you must pay for all labor charges.

To obtain warranty service, you must take the product, or deliver the product freight prepaid, in either its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection, to any authorized Pure Digital service facility and provide Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipt which evidences that the unit is within the warranty period.

This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or modification of, or to any part of the product. This warranty does not cover any product for which the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed or any damage due to improper operation or maintenance, connection to improper voltage supply, or attempted repair by anyone other than a facility authorized by Pure Digital to service the product. This warranty does not cover customer instruction, installation, set up adjustments, or signal reception problems. This warranty does not cover products sold AS IS or WITH ALL FAULTS, or consumables (such as fuses). This warranty is valid only in the United States.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY OF THE CONSUMER. PURE DIGITAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA OR CONTENT OR COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION) CAUSED BY BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.
