New Pricing
New Pricing Tiers Go Into Effect July 1.
Beginning July 1, 2003, CafePress.com will be introducing a new tiered pricing schedule that will offer members greater opportunities to earn base price discounts.
Currently, members earn a base price discount once they sell 20 items. Under the new system, members will earn a base price discount once they sell at least $250 in base price merchandise (the equivalent of 18 t-shirts). The new tiered pricing schedule offers the following percentage discounts.
7% discount on all base prices above $250 in base price sales
15% discount on all base prices above $1,000 in base price sales
20% discount on all base prices above $5,000 in base price sales
22% discount on all base prices above $10,000 in base price sales
The new tiered pricing schedule is stair-stepped, meaning discounts kick in for sales above the minimum threshold. So if you have $1,500 in base price sales within a month, your discount will be:
$0 for the first $250
$52.50 for sales between $250 and $1,000
$75 for sales between $1,000 and $1,500
Total discount = $127.50
