When do I get paid?
If you choose to sell Products "for-profit" through your Shop, you must provide accurate payee and taxpayer information to CafePress.com for payments to be made to you.
All accrued commissions are paid within 60 days of the month they were accrued. As we offer your customers a full 30-day money back guarantee, there is a 60 day "lag time" for commission payments to account for returns and exchanges. Example: If you have $25.00 of accrued commissions in March, you will be paid your commissions by the 15th of May.
Please be aware that if you earn less than the dollar amount selected as the payment threshold in the "Payee Information" Section of your account management screen, then the amount will not be paid, but will accrue to your Account until such time as it becomes equal to or greater than the Payment Threshold. CafePress.com will make a payment to you for the amount of such compensation no later than 60 days after the end of the month in which the total amount of accrued compensation may reach or exceed the Payment Threshold.
CafePress.com may, in its discretion, send you a payment before your accrued compensation reaches or exceeds the Payment Threshold. Please see our Shopkeeper Agreement for more information regarding Compensation and Fees.
Do you take out taxes on my commission?
No, we do not take out any taxes.
Do you notify the IRS of the referral fees I earn?
If you earn more than $600.00 in referral revenue per calendar year, we file a form 1099 with the IRS, naming the payee as a contractor who received the taxable income.
What happens if I lose my check?
If you lose your check please contact Customer Service to have a new one reissued to you. You will be responsible for any fees associated with the cancellation of your check.
Do I have to have a merchant account to get paid?
No. Anyone can use the services of CafePress.com.
Does the check have to be made out to me?
Not necessarily. It can be made out to any business or person. Just make sure that you have the ability to cash the check with your bank. If you make up a fictitious business name that does not have a corresponding bank account you may not be able to cash the check.
It says I was paid commission but I never received my check.

In your shopkeeper profile, make sure that you put a valid name/business when filling in the "Make Payments Payable To" field. If you make up a fictitious business name that does not have a corresponding bank account you may not be able to cash the check. You may also have difficulty if you enter your first name only.
I have 5 shops, how many checks will I get?
You will receive one check for each user account. If all 5 of your shops are under one user account, you will get 1 check. If you have multiple user accounts, you will get multiple checks.
Can I get my commission directly deposited into my account?
No. We're sorry but at this time we do not have the ability to direct deposit commission checks.
