New Merchandise Launches

Merchandise: Always something new! It's one of the key ingredients to any retail business, if you have the same merchandise day in and day out customers will get bored. We don't want that, it would prevent CafePress and Shopkeepers from achieving most of the S.M.A.R.T. objectives for 2007. This year we'll see the CafePress merchandise selection round out and maximize core apparel assortments for Men, Women, Juniors, Kids, and Infants by adding new colors and styles, and we'll launch breakthrough merchandise in the areas of home d�cor, pet products, and more!
Sometimes we recognize when an investment needs to realign itself with its goals. Just like we see a value in adding new merchandise to increase ROI, scalability, and momentum we also recognize when existing products are not meeting those objectives. For this reason we will be sun setting merchandise not performing to its expectations.
Additionally, we continue to invest heavily in improved printing methods. We continue to evaluate print options and best practices for continued support of second-side printing on garments. The continued investment in multi-print items will require an additional up-charge for the second print, a common practice for most manufacturers and retailers alike.
We have introduced an increased print area. Variable print locations will be coming. In addition, we'll initiate a determination of the best-option printing methods for select merchandise.
