Meet the 2008 CafePressVoice Candidates

Like the CafePress Community itself, these candidates represent a diverse cross-section of the Community with different skill sets, earning levels and viewpoints. While there are many differences among the CafePressVoice reps, they all share a desire to contribute to the CafePress Community.

In addition to operating three Premium (and a few basic) CP Shops, my background includes a "dayjob" in Outside Sales, running my own Design and Marketing businesses, and volunteer work with various community organizations. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? I am passionate about the incredible opportunity CP represents to Shopkeepers and the huge resource passionate Shopkeepers offer CP. We succeed as Shopkeepers when CafePress does the right things - and we must do our part in making sure CafePress understands what we think they are.
	Catherine "Kip" Dorrell ShopID: kippygo | Member Since: August 2004 Why are you the right person? I believe I would do a good job as a CPV rep because I'm committed to CP as a main source of income and am hence always learning more about what it means to be a successful Shopkeeper (and what it means to mess up and learn from those mistakes). That also means I'm genuinely concerned about what goes on within the company and within the community (which I think is one of CP's greatest assets so hence an important component in the success of CP as a business). Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? On most days I feel like the luckiest person alive to be able to do what I do. Even though I complain, I love CP and how much I've learned from being a shopkeeper. I truly want to be able to work with the company to expand on great things that are already in place, improve upon things that need some final touches, and really get that community spirit going again. Cheesy as it may sound, I also really just sort of want try to give back...

There may be many others more qualified than I, but since I'm the only one I know, I'm forced to say I think I would be one of the right people to do the "job." Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? There's lots of really desirable stuff already available, but I think there's also lots of room for improvement in the CafePress offerings. I would hope to add to that improvement with some common sense items. (And maybe a few non-sensical ideas, as well.)
	Donna Dohogne Member Since: May 2005 Why are you the right person? I am a graphic designer. Our job is to meet customers need on a daily basis. Most graphic designers are confident and good at what they do, at least I am. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? I need a quality product to produce for my clients in my business and if I can have some say so on what I can provide, people may better like and want to use my services more often.
	Henry Farkas ShopID: thestudiouswolf | Member Since: March 2008 Why are you the right person? I'm retired, I have access to the Internet, and I want to sell my photos on items such as mugs, shirts, and totes. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? It'll stimulate me to solve my problem of, at present, not being able to easily work the site. Then I'll help others so they won't have as much difficulty as I had.
	Ne' Metzger ShopID: 1512blvdbaby | Member Since: March 2007 Why are you the right person? I have been a graphic designer for almost 10 years and I operate several Premium shops. I am an active member of the CafePress Community Forums. I really like to help others and participate. I like to know what others think about things and brainstorm ideas to solve problems. I also feel that I have a good understanding of what people would really like to see happen or things that they don't want to happen. And if I don't, I ask. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? I have a genuine desire to help others and feel that I can bring a lot to the table. I want to be a part of bringing about change and being an integral part of the process.
	Kate Glenn ShopID: littlelizzy | Member Since: February 2005 Why are you the right person? I'm the right person to represent the community because I've always been open to feedback and learning from my fellow shopkeepers. I've been a Shopkeeper for almost 3 years, and have learned so much along the way. Although I'm a top Shopkeeper, CafePress is my second career, and I've learned to balance my time and abilities in order to make my shop a success. I can represent several different kinds of Shopkeepers, from the part-timer, to the Mac user, to the large Shopkeeper, and those that are just beginning with a basic to intermediate understanding of the digital technologies we use to be successful. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? I want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team because I've always enjoyed being a part of the CafePress community. I've been to two Meet & Greets, which were great opportunities to open the lines of communication between shopkeepers and to CafePress. I look forward to being a bigger part of the community, sharing our successes and enhancing all of our experiences.
	Linda Zappa ShopID: zappa2go | Member Since: August 2006 Why are you the right person? There are many Shopkeepers who need advice on how to place their work on products so they are appealing. I can help with that. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? I may not have the most successful shop (yet!) but I think CafePress is a marvelous way to work online. The merchandise is great and I think that online shopping is the way to go.
	Mathew Reiffe ShopID: BurnTees | Member Since: June 2005 Why are you the right person? Aside from being a Top Shopkeeper, I have built Burntees from the ground up. For the past three years, I have gained invaluable experience in virtually every aspect of being a CafePress Shopkeeper. I am active in the forums and well known as both an advice giver and receiver. My knowledge and experience goes across content and audience lines and speaks to the common denominators that all shopkeepers can relate to. I understand the importance of the community and how the resources we provide each other with facilitate success for all. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? I understand what it takes to create a successful site from scratch but I wouldn't have been able to do that without the CafePress community. In the time that I've been a part of the CafePress community, I have met many great people and I've learned an unbelievable amount from them. I want to give back in the same way. I know that I can help shopkeepers achieve their goals but at the same time, I am very interested in being a part of the CafePress team and contributing to CafePress' continued success.

I feel that I am a well spoken, patient yet assertive person who works well with others and enjoys coming up with new and exciting ideas. Tell us why you want to be a part of the CafePressVoice team? I joined the CafePress community in 2006 and thought that this would be a fun "thing" to do on the side. I have since expanded my Wormtown Tees brand to 22 different stores. CafePress has been super helpful with CUP issues that have arisen, problems with orders, etc. I feel that being part of the CafePressVoice team would be a great way to work closer with a great community of like-minded people.

I feel that I would be a good candidate for the CafePressVoice team because I love taking a leadership role as well as working with others to get the job done! Among my strengths, I am a very fair person. I like helping to make other people's lives easier. Everyone's opinions and wishes should be taken into account before a vital decision is made! I am also a very respectable person, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and they should all be heard when changing things around in any environment. I genuinely care about the CafePress community and its Shopkeepers, and want to see others become successful. I have a lot of ideas on how being a CafePress Shopkeeper can be even more rewarding.
