I first discovered rats in 2004 when Voltaire, a black hooded, and Allister, a black berkshire, entered my life. Soon after I launched Better Holes and Garbage, a website devoted to rats, with a special emphasis on rat art, including interviews of rat artists.
Having grown up in an artistic household, I began drawing as soon as I could hold a crayon. Eventually I found my way into graphic design. Most of my designs are a combination of hand sketching and computer drawing. I am also a photographer, and again my main subject is rats.
I like to capture the inherent beauty in rats so that all people, rat-people and non rat people, can enjoy it. On more than one occasion have I won over a rat hater with my photography! Currently I am a student at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, where I'll be receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Photography.
