I'm in charge of the operation of the Yasuda Observatory and this CafePress shop. Please feel free to ask questions about the observatory, astronomy in general (no homework assignments, please!), or this shop. The monthly newsletter is also a good source of information concerning the above topics, along with things to see in the night skies. I also welcome any feedback or requests for products. Yasuda Observatory is part of the Yasuda Educational Foundation, a private 90-year old accredited institute located in Hiroshima, Japan on two campuses with two kindergartens, an elementary school, junior and senior high schools, a two-year college, a four-year college, and a Ph.D./M.A. granting graduate school. The school has educational relationships with California State University, San Bernardino, USA; University of Nottingham, UK; Otago Polytechnic and Otago University, Dunedin, NZ; and University of Southern Queensland, AU. The observatory, which saw first light in 2003, is perched atop Building 9, Human Ecology Department, Yasuhigashi Campus, and contains a custom-built 400mm Cassegrain, 150mm APO, and several portable telescopes and binoculars. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: All profits (100%) from this site go directly to improving and maintaining the observatory. We especially want to purchase some modern astronomy-grade CCD imaging equipment and solar filters so that we might contribute more fully to the international astronomy community. FULL DISCLOSURE OF EARNINGS (MINUS PERSONAL INFORMATION ON BUYERS) FROM THIS SITE CAN BE MADE AVAILABLE TO INTERESTED PARTIES. Please write for additional details or questions. P.
