All of the work here is original artwork by Joe Kazimierczyk (Joe Kaz for short). Joe lives in central New Jersey, USA, on a ridge called the Sourland Mountain. Most people would be surprised at how beautiful New Jersey can be. The images on this site are mainly from the NJ region of Hunterdon, Mercer and Somerset counties, with a few futher reaching excursions.
Joe has been involved with art all his life: painting, photography, bonsai, ceramics, woodworking and music. One of his carved wooden bowls appears in Fine Woodworking Design Book Four, published by The Taunton Press. A recent wine label design won Honorable Mention in the 2003 Winemaker Magazine label contest. (Winemaking is another hobby). Joe has sold his hand built ceramics at galleries in New Hope, PA and Allentown, NJ.
Joe's current focus, besides this shop, is on his landscape paintings, featuring scenes from central New Jersey and Bucks County, Pa..
Some of the media used to create these images:
- the landscape paintings are generally oil on canvas or masonite
- the abstract paintings are all acrylic on wood panel or masonite
- all image manipulation is done with the GIMP running on Suse linux
- photography is mainly with Canon s500 and s230 digital cameras
