I am currently a psychology graduate student pursuing my PhD at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In my research, I explore the relationship between how we interpret life events and how we feel. In my art, I try to express different emotions by drawing on my understanding of how thoughts and emotions arise. My paintings were created with the intention of inspiring a sense of emotional well-being. They emphasize feelings of joy, tranquility, a sense of celebration, delight, contentment, feelings of being loved, memories of friendship, and inspiration. I also try to express the thoughts and images that bring about emotional healing: recovery from loss, the calming of fears, and the healing of loneliness. I hope that my expressions of happiness and healing instill a little more of those feelings into your life.
