I got a little Canon SD 110 Power Shot camera from my Grandma Paula a few years back and started taking pictures. Lots of them. Before I knew it, I had hundreds, of everything I saw on my trips up to Orcas Island off the coast of Washington State, up and down the central coast of California, and even here at home in Manhattan Beach. Scenery, nature, water, animals….all of it caught my eye. But I couldn't help but notice how many of my pictures were of birds, doing all those funny, weird, beautiful things birds do. I started fooling around with some of the images and came up with a design or two I liked. That's where Birdy Industries came from. Now I'm shooting with a Canon Rebel XT (EOS 350 D), using both Photoshop and Illustrator to create my photographic designs. I’ve been inspired by a couple of amazing nature photographers I've been lucky enough to meet, something that keeps me on my toes.
