PAINTING:
I found some old paints & canvas of my mothers up in the attic space, and just began to paint one day around the age of 12 .I'd sit up in my room late at night, painting by the light of a small desk lamp sometimes until dawn. I had no idea what I was doing, I just did it.Since I had never been taught to paint, I had no idea that “rules for painting " even existed. I just followed the ideas Flooding my mind .I don’t feel painting is my best medium; however I do enjoy painting the most. And I love to experiment with all types of paints and styles.

WALL MURALS:
I began to make murals along time ago , with crayons on my bedroom walls.My mother wasn't very fond of them , but always complemented the artwork itself.
As I got older my mother and I painted a table top in our kitchen made from plywood , from then on I was hooked .

CARVINGS :
I enjoy carving wood, plaster, Ceramic and stone, Carving is my most natural medium to work in .It comes easily to me with little effort. Carving its self, takes efforts in the physical sense .Most of my carvings begin with simple line sketches right on the object I’m carving. While carving I see the object as if its already completed and its just a matter of completing the steps in my mind and removing layers of space until the image forms . I prefer to use old used items rather than stock wood, I look for yard sale and flea market finds, old tables, benches, dressers, marble tile & book shelves. A nice well worn table top can become a wonderful carving to hang on the wall.

MOSAIC DESIGNS :
We design , build and install award winning tile mosaics , each one is hand drawn and crafted , making your mosaic a true original . IN THE BEGINNING , My husband would often bring home tid bits of scrap tile .We just tossed them in a bucket collecting a variety of scraps in different colors & textures.Being an artist, I began to create broken tile mosaics inserts & murals. I 'm drawn to the rustic feel that broken tile offers.

PLASTERSCAPES:
Due to injury in the spring of 2004 , I am still unable to high relief carve at this time.So I turned back to mural painting . Bored with the lack of texture , I began to mix my plaster work into the murals and developed what I now call " plasterscapes " . Plasterscapes can be created on walls , cabinets and doors.
