Steven Burns AIA, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Loft, LLC, is a principal of Burns + Beyerl Architects (BBA), a Chicago design firm established in 1993. He is a member of the Technology in Architectural Practice and the Project Management forums of the AIA. Steve is also a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and the Association of Licensed Architects. Steve received his M.Arch degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 1986 and his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Cum Laude degree from Syracuse University in 1980. Before founding BBA, Steven spent 7 years as an Associate at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (Chicago), serving as Project Architect on major international projects in London, Seoul, Kyoto and Berlin. After leaving SOM, he returned to Chicago where he founded BBA. Steven is married to Victoria Burns, an art consultant, and they have two children.
