A vegetarian is defined as someone who excludes all animal flesh from their diet, including poultry, fish, seafood, and animal slaughter by-products. Some vegetarians, known as Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians consume eggs, dairy, and honey. Other vegetarians, known as Lacto Vegetarians consume dairy and honey, but exclude eggs from their diet. An Ovo-Vegetarian consumes eggs and honey, but no dairy products. All vegetarians, however, exclude animal flesh and animal by-products from the vegetarian diet.
