According to the Heralds, the only persons who should wear the arms of
The Shire Iron Ox would be The Shire Herald, when speaking "with the
King's Voice." In some cases, displaying the Shire arms by another
person, such as one who bears Thier Majesties authority or warrant
is also permitted. The arms can and should be visibly displayed to indicate
that members of the Shire are present at Events and particuarly at Court.
On the other hand, it is typically considered acceptable to display
the Shire Device in a mundane setting that advertises the Society
and/or the Kingdom such as on a bumper sticker or on advertising media,
so long as there is no implication that the person displaying the
device is the owner of it.

populace for such things as presentation of Largess and the like.
