The Dream. It's something different to each of us, but it's something we all share. We can rarely define it, but we always know it when we see it.
Maybe it's the sight of the victor reaching down to raise his opponent to his feet. Perhaps its the sound of a bardic circle around a fire as we walk by, or the shine in the eyes of a brand new Lord or Lady holding their AoA scroll as they walk back to their seat.
Whatever it is, It's the thing that draws us to the SCA, and the thing that makes the SCA endure.
