Within the Known World of the Current Middle Ages Dragonsspine is located in the Kingdom of the Outlands. The Barony began as the Incipient Shire of Les Jardin des Dieux in A.S. VIII (1973) as an offshoot of the Barony of Caerthe (Then a branch of the Kingdom of Atenveldt.) It was soon renamed Dragonsspine and in A.S. X (1975) the Shire was granted official status. It was raised to the status of Barony on October 11th, A.S. XIII (1978) lead by Baroness Kaitlin Caslean an Bharraigh.

In the modern world Dragonsspine is centered around Colorado Springs, Colorado.
